In this webinar, we will outline relevant aspects of European data protection legislation (GDPR) for researchers processing personal data and the challenges that arise from Open Science requirements. We will describe important aspects of consent forms which frequently are the legal basis for processing personal data in Social Sciences. Then, we will explain how researchers can anonymize data for archiving, publication, and re-use.
