Local elections took place on 14 September 2015 across the whole of Norway. Norwegian school elections are held as a major indicator of how voting will turn out in real elections.

Elections are held every other year in Norway, alternating between Parliamentary and local elections, both of which take place every four years. Hence, the last local elections were in 2011.

This year is also an anniversary for NSD, the Norwegian research data archive, which has been organising national school elections since 1989. This year was the fifteenth edition of the school elections, taking place from 1 to 8 September.
