The Polish Social Data Archive (PADS) is currently a CESSDA partner and aspiring to become a member in the near future. Hear from Marcin Zieliński, Head of the archive.
The CESSDA Country Spotlight series showcases national service providers. We interviewed representatives of the national service providers, dear members of the CESSDA community. We asked them about the value CESSDA provides their data archive and vice versa.

Head of PADS Marcin Zieliński about CESSDA
“The Polish Social Data Archive was established 20 years ago, and 20 years ago we wanted to join [CESSDA], to become a part of this archiving infrastructure at the European level, but it was impossible at that time. So actually we are trying again. I hope this time, we will be successful. For the last 20 years we have been trying to establish our own standards, but it is much better to use somebody else’s standards which are already established.” Marcin Zieliński, Head of Polish Social Data Archive.
